Marine Projects started manufacture with the Project 31 in 1966 in Plymouth.
The history of Princess Yachts International spans over 40 years when the company first started out under the name of Marine projects in 1965. Following on from there, the company then launched a number of new models of motor yachts ranging between 20 to 30 feet. These early models of Princess yachts were all marketed as ‘Projects’ and ‘Pilgrims’.
1969 saw the launch of the popular Princess 32. Well known for its spacious cockpit. Due to the success of this model, the Princess brand was established.
The company continues to produces various new models but 1987 saw them cease manufacture of smaller craft. Now producing larger yachts and luxury super yachts.
