This crafts design was based on the Nimbus 3000. The Ultima was built from 1991 to 1995. The hull design is semi displacement and is suitable for river and sea going use. The engine configuration is a single Volvo diesel on a shaft drive with the added benefit of a bow thruster. The Nimbus Ultima is a 6 berth cruiser with 3 separate cabins. The saloon has a dinette area with U shaped seating giving 2 berths forward in the bow. The toilet compartment starboard side has a sea toilet and large vanity unit. Opposite port side is a cabin with a double berth and storage locker. The centre cockpit has helm a seat to port, and starboard a helm seat which is mounted on a fridge housing unit. The galley is to port and starboard behind the helm seats. There is U shaped seating in the cockpit with a sliding door hidden behind the seating for access to the aft cabin. A sun bed is situated above the aft cabin roof. The aft cabin has an L shaped seating area to starboard and a double berth to port.
