In 1964 the Freeman MK11 was modified to give increased head room, a step in the deck was added. Over 1500 22s were manufactured up until 1970 some of which were narrow beam. The boat was superseded by the Freeman 23. The 22MK11 layout is the same as the MK1 with open plan design with 2 berths in the bow, toilet compartment and hanging locker and a dinette area that converts to a double with a galley opposite. Engine installations include the Ford Watermota and the Perkins Diesel.
